  1. Where are the requirements for the assignment listed?
Find all the details on the expectations for the assignment on the page in Canvas: Analysis of Writing in Your Field.
  2. What should the table look like?
Your table should include 11 columns (explained on the assignment page) and 11 rows (10 types of writing plus the header row). Each type of writing should be addressed in a separate row.

Look at the Writing Done by a College English Teacher example. It is not complete, but it will show you what your assignment should look like.
  3. How can I maximize the space on the page for my table?
Use the design tip listed in the announcement to change the orientation and paper size of your document.
  4. What bibliography format should I use?
Use the appropriate documentation style for your field, if desired—for instance, an electrical engineer can use IEEE. If you are unsure what to use, check with a professor or graduate student in your major, OR contact a librarian for help.
  5. What if a type of writing in my field isn’t included in the textbook?
Just write not applicable (or n/a, if you prefer). I know that the textbook will not cover every kind of writing in every field.
  6. What if I’m using my own experience and have no resource for some of the information?
It’s fine to work from your own experience for the table. If you want, you can add a comment when you submit your final version that reminds me that you were working from first-hand knowledge. This screenshot Links to an external site. shows you where you can add a comment.
