 Introduction to Adobe Captivate Authoring Tool

This four series training workshop will provide the opportunity to explore the interface of Adobe Captivate, create a sample module from a preexisting powerpoint and publish the module to a learning management system. It will also provide the basics of e-learning, incorporating media, adding quizzes, formating and embedding the finished product on a canvas course. This course is project-based that is it will be in a guided practice format with a strong emphasis on active learning and student participation.

Upon completion of this Initial workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Articulate the over features of Adobe Captivate.
  2. Create, Open, Preview and close an Adobe Captivate. 
  3. Understand the basics of Elearning.  
  4. Create a project from an existing Powerpoint
  5. Know how to Create quizzes in Adobe Captivate.
  6. Use assets and interactions in Adobe Captivate
  7. Work with media and add audio, video, voice-overs and captioning to the created project  
  8. Publish a Captivate project
  9. Embed their finished project into a canvas course website
  10. Add various types of assessment options to your  project
