• Students are responsible for picking up a seminar evaluation form from the instructor in class prior to the start of each seminar, and returning the completed form to the instructor immediately after the end of the seminar.

Seminar Etiquette – No laptops, cell phones, headphones or earbud usage during seminars. No newspapers or magazines.

Grading: P/F

• A one-page résumé, due at the beginning of the second class meeting, must be completed and approved by the course instructor.

• Failure to complete an acceptable résumé within the assigned time will result in a grade of F.

• Consistent attendance at all scheduled class meetings and seminars is required. Every student is expected to complete a feedback form for each seminar attended.

• Unexcused absences or failure to provide a feedback form for more than one scheduled class meeting will result in a grade of F. This includes the assessment survey scheduled for the last class meeting.

• Showing up late to a class will result in one-half of an unexcused absence.

• In case of illness, medical excuses should be initiated through the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Schiffert Health Center, Ms. Phyllis Smith (216 McComas Hall). Ms. Smith will contact the College of Engineering Office of Academic Affairs, and they, in turn, will contact all of your instructors. A form stating that you visited Schiffert Health Center is not sufficient for a medically excused absence. If you visit a physician outside of the university, the doctor’s note should be processed through the Office of the Dean of Students. They will notify Academic Affairs.
