Try-It #16: Emphasizing Important Information

You can use your textbook, any notes that you have, and the available course pages in Canvas for help as you work on these questions.

This activity focuses on the ways your words and phrasing can emphasize important information (See Markel & Selber, Chapter 9 for more info). Answer each of the questions to explore ways you can strengthen the language you use in your pitch. After evaluating slides in this activity, apply the same questions to your own slides.
