Your project is a video that is three minutes or less in length and includes about one slide for each 30 seconds (for a total of about six slides maximum).

Your pitch presentation has a short introduction that follows some of the tips in the “Introducing the Presentation” section of the textbook.

The summary section of your pitch presentation follows the six components of an elevator pitch, outlined in “The Elevator Pitch” video.

Your pitch presentation has a brief conclusion that follows some of the tips in the “Concluding the Presentation” section of the textbook.

Your pitch presentation video is easily viewable without a login (other than a Canvas login, of course) and without any special software.

Slides in your presentation meet these five characteristics: (1) They present clear, well-supported claim(s). (2) They are easy to see. (3) They are easy to read. (4) They are simple. (5) They are correct.

Any images or photographs meet these five characteristics: (1) They are clear, well-focused, and relevant to the topic. (2) They serve a clear purpose (avoid purely decorative images). (3) They are free of distractions that are not relevant to the topic. (4) They are directly related to the topic (avoid clipart, which looks less professional). (5) They do not have watermarks or otherwise indicate that the audio, video, or image belongs to someone else.
