Lyft Focus Group Report

Working in your Food Cart/Learning teams, you will conduct in-class focus groups on Friday, October 22 with each team writing a report to the Director of the Scooters and Bikes division at Lyft, the number two ride-sharing company. Although you likely know the company, here is a short video.

During your focus groups, you may wish to organize with one student serving as the moderator, asking the questions and following up to obtain depth of understanding. Another student would serve as the scribe, recording the key points that will ultimately be reflected in your team's paper. The other members of the team would serve as the participants, offering their insights into the questions asked. Another approach is to have everyone answer all questions and use a Google doc so you can share responses.

The written content section of the reports should be no more than two pages, single spaced. You are free to add an additional page with exhibits (graphs or tables, for example) to provide the most value you can for the company. Organize your work as direct answers to the questions posed by Lyft. Remember they've already decided to launch this initiative on campuses they just want to know how to do it successfully and need the insight from the focus group to inform your recommendations. Peer evaluations will be collected and the outcomes applied to the grades on this assignment. Use the same form you did previously when submitting your business plans.
