Other University Property

Flights on other university properties not covered by a specific protocol will have the same requirements that apply to the Blacksburg campus. 

The protocol includes the following requirements: 

• Obtain specific written permission for each flight or mission: apply online
• Part 107 FAA Remote Pilot Certificate
• Virginia Tech UAS Pilot Training
• Aircraft must be registered with the university via the online flight application
