Please fill out your SPOT survey for all your classes. The university takes these numbers seriously.
Your comments can help improve the classes for future students and make the program better!!!!!
Comments can be as easy as “What you liked best about the class” [be specific – a topic, a teaching technique or topic], “What should be added or changed”, “How the class can be improved” – be specific or similar comments.
These comments are confidential.
I will give some extra credit if you fill out the SPOT survey and then take a screen shot of the page that lists your classes and whether you completed the survey. [NOT A COPY OF THE SURVEY]
Post the screenshot on to this assignment!!!
On PC machines go to the SPOT survey page, that tells you if you have completed the survey for your classes The page will list your classes then have a "mark" if you have completed the survey for each class.
To page a screen shot [a copy of what you see on your screen] generally you hold down the "function" key and push the key that has "PRT SC" [or similar]. This makes a copy that you can "paste" in this assignment.
That is what you need to post -- the screen shot.!!!!
From the SPOT portal:
“Fall VT Student Perceptions of Teaching (SPOT) – Your Feedback Is Needed!
Dear VT Student:
The quality of teaching is important at Virginia Tech, which is why we strive to enhance your learning experience while recognizing good teaching and providing constructive suggestions for instructors. We cannot accomplish this without your feedback. The Student Perceptions of Teaching (SPOT) survey takes only minutes to complete, but it provides instructors and department chairs with important information to improve teaching and course content.
You can now complete the SPOT survey on your smart phone!
Results will be shared with instructors after grades are submitted. Instructors will not be able identify which response belongs to which student.
Thanks for participating in this important Hokie to Hokie feedback.”
