Instructions

Goals

  • Conduct research appropriate to workplace problem solving, such as literature review, evaluation of online resources, interview, and site inspection. [CLO 2]

The Task

In this activity, you will share details on the research you have done so far by organizing the information you have found by the kinds of research sources they are.

Getting Started

  1. Review the information in the section on “Types of Secondary Research Sources” (pp. 123) in Markel and Selber’s Technical Communication. The section discusses the following five kinds of sources:
    • Books (including ebooks)
    • Periodicals: Journals and Magazines
    • Newspapers and online news sources
    • Government documents
    • Websites and social media
  2. Review your response to the Recommendation Report: Identifying Useful Research Tools activity, which relates to this activity.

Grading Process

When you submit your work, the points will be recorded in Canvas Grades immediately. I will review your answer. If I find that you did not put in appropriate effort or did not do the expected work, I will adjust your grade accordingly.

Only registered, enrolled users can take graded quizzes
