The Task
For this Major Writing Project Activity, review the information on effective design, and then find a graphic that illustrates the design principles. Explain your choice in your answer.
Getting Started
- Review the design principles of Contrast, Repetition, Alignment, and Proximity (CRAP) Links to an external site..
- Go on a hunt on campus or online for a good or bad visual that illustrates the principle in each question. Your images can be any kind of visual—a digital sign, a full-page ad in a magazine, a billboard, and so forth. It doesn’t have to be a poster.
Here’s an example of how to find a visual for this discussion: Find a bulletin board on campus. Stand across the hall from it, and identify the one piece on the bulletin board that grabs your attention.
