Course Logistics

Every Monday, usually around midnight, I will post an Announcement in Canvas about the work for the week. There are several ways to get notification when these Announcements go live, all described in the section below on Keeping Up with the Course.

Once you get notification that new content is available, come to Canvas to find instructions on the activities for the week. You will find an outline of specific things you need to write or do for the course and a reminder of upcoming due dates.

Announcements appear in reverse chronological order. The newest Announcement is at the top of the page, with the older Announcements at the bottom. If you are looking for an older Announcement, you may need to scroll down to find the post you need.

Finding the Daily Discussion Posts

The Daily Discussion Posts are published in Piazza, Tuesday through Saturday. Notification options for these posts are also described in the section below on Keeping Up with the Website.

Once you get notification that one of these posts is available, go to our course in Piazza to read the information, which typically applies to a project in the course. Reading these posts and following their advice will help improve your major projects. Reading and commenting on these messages counts as part of the participation portion of your course grade.

You can find help with Piazza in the company’s Support Center Links to an external site., and choose the Student tab.

Keeping Up with the Website

You can find notifications for each new post on the website (both the main post for the week and the Daily Discussion Posts) in a variety of places. You can use any or all of the following ways to find out when new information is posted on the course website:
