Set-up Your Meeting Minutes.
Choose a format for your meeting minutes and a person to record the minutes, using the information on the Meeting Minutes Format page.
Add Items to Your Agenda if Desired.
You might set a meeting for the week of April 14 so that you’re ready to collaborate next week.
Ask Everyone for a Status Update.
Have each group member share details on the work they’ve completed and what they still need to do. Make sure everyone discusses the status of their research. Take time to offer support to one another and address any issues that come up.
Create the Outline for your Recommendation Report.
Set up a shared word processor document for your outline.
Use the instructions in Try-It #23: Outlining Your Recommendation Report to write your outline collaboratively. You should be able to write the outline during your meeting, but you can complete the work outside the meeting if you like.
Choose a group member to check spelling, grammar, and consistency in your outline.
Submit your outline when your group has finished.
Plan Your Progress Report.
Set up a shared word processor document for your Progress Report.
Follow the instructions in the Progress Report Assignment to plan your document, dividing the work among group members.
Schedule a day and time when group members should have submitted their contributions to the Progress Report.
Choose a group member to review the draft for consistency, spelling, and grammar after the scheduled date and then to submit the finished Progress Report.
Finish Your Meeting.
Once you have met and finished all the work on this agenda, finalize and edit your Meeting Minutes and adjourn your meeting. The Meeting Minutes will be posted in an Announcement.
