Exam Expectations

We will have three exams in this course, and the expectations for them will be the same. Although we are an online course, I want to have conditions as comparable to an in-person exam setting as possible. To eliminate confusion/misunderstanding, you must adhere to the following:

DO:

  • Submit any SSD accommodation documentation you have by Wednesday, Sept 14 at the latest. Once the exam has begun, your time allowance cannot be modified. Your SSD documentation can be submitted in the SSD assignment under Wednesday, Sept 14's class module. Submission does not affect your grade in any way, and if you do not have an SSD accommodation, you don't need to submit anything.
  • Tell me in advance if you have something that prevents from taking the exam at the prescribed time. If you do not, you will NOT have the opportunity to make it up.
  • Log on to our regular zoom link using your school email.
  • Turn on your camera and have it showing your face. Pointing your camera to the ceiling does not count!
  • Have a clear workspace where you are alone.
  • Send a private chat message to me or the TA during the exam if you have a question.
  • Once you have finished your exam, send me or the TA a private chat message confirming it is okay for you to leave.

DON'T:

  • Arrive late.
  • Pick up or use your phone during the exam.
  • Talk to people in the room or chat with people online.
  • Take the exam without being in our regular zoom room or without the camera on. If you do, you will not receive credit for the exam.
