Students can work synchronous or asynchronously in collaborative groups. Working with their peers is a good way to problem solve and work as a team on a course project. Collaborative projects can semester-long or a small group activity.
Creating student groups provides a way for students to:
- Work collaboratively on a group assignment
- Work collaboratively on a major project
- You can also encourage students to form their own study groups (via course people tool).
Canvas has several tools to help facilitate collaborative group projects and assignments that can be done synchronously or asynchronously.
This module will help you be able to:
- Hold synchronous group work planning and presentations via Zoom
- Create student groups in Canvas
- Utilize Canvas collaborations tool

- Create group assignments & discussions
