Adding TAs to Your Course

Overview

Students and instructors of record are automatically added to official Canvas courses. If you want to add a TA or collaborator, you can do it in the People tool. See Adding and Remove People Links to an external site., watch the video, or follow the below instructions.

Instructions

To add a TA to your course:

  1. Go to your Canvas course site and click People on the left-hand course navigation menu.
  2. Click +People on the right-hand side of the screen.

  1.   Under Add user(s) by, click Login ID then enter the person's PID in the Add User box.
  2.   Under Role dropdown, choose TA then choose the Section dropdown to specify which section the TA needs to be added to.

   3.  Click Next

   4. Click Add Users.
