Overview
Instead of having students present to the class, either have them record their presentations in Kaltura Capture, or have them present to the class via Zoom video conferencing.
Prepare for the unexpected - video conferencing might fail, so if you choose to have them present live, have a backup plan where they record their presentations.
Live: Hold a Zoom video conference for the whole class
Single student
Have the student share their screen during a Zoom video conference in Canvas.
Student group
One student from the group will share the presentation and click through slides while the group presents.
Recorded: Students record presentations and upload
Single student
Have the student use Kaltura Capture to record their video and upload them to My Media. Change your site’s Media Gallery settings to allow students to publish their recordings to the class.
Student group
Change your site’s Media Gallery settings to allow students to add their recordings. Have the students hold their own Zoom video conference and record it to the cloud. Have one student share the presentation and click through slides while the group speaks. The recording will appear in the Meeting (student) host’s My Media in Canvas within a half-day. That student can then publish the meeting to the course site’s Media Gallery.
