Adding TAs to Your Course

If you want to join our Community of Practice and use Discussions, go to Home and select Join This Course in the top right corner of the page. 

 

Overview

Students and instructors of record are automatically added to official Canvas courses. If you want to add a TA or collaborator, you can do it in the People tool. See Adding and Remove People Links to an external site., watch the video, or follow the below instructions.

Instructions

  1. Go to your Canvas course site and click People on the left-hand course navigation menu.

  2. Click +People on the right-hand side of the screen.
  3. Under Add user(s) by, click Login ID
  4. Enter the person's PID in the Add People box.
  5. Under Role, choose TA.

  6. If you’re adding different TAs to different sections, choose the section for this TA.
  7. Click Next. Validate that you are adding the right person as TA.
  8. Click Add Users.
