Insurance and Risk Management

Virginia Tech owned sUAS must be registered with Risk Management to be covered under VT's general liability plan. In order to register, fill out the table below and send to riskmanagement@vt.edu .

If you are flying your personal (i.e. non-VT owned) drone on Virginia Tech property you must provide Risk Management with proof of insurance coverage meeting the following specifications:

1.) Minimum general liability coverage (commercial general liability) amount of $1M per occurrence for Small UAS
2.) Must name the following as additional insured and certificate holders:

Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University
North End Center, Suite 3300
300 Turner Street NW (MC 0310)
Blacksburg, VA 24061
